ACT Boot Camp
Saturday, February 22, 2020 @ 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Students planning to take the ACT in the spring will emerge from this class armed with knowledge and strategies to achieve a strong score. Cost: $150, which includes the cost of a study guide.
This immersive, day-long class will cover all content students will encounter in all four sections of the ACT. This specific date was chosen to accommodate local public school juniors who will take the ACT in school at the end of February.
Although primarily designed for "first timers," the class is sure to benefit students who have taken the test before but want strategies to boost their scores. Two experienced, certified instructors, one for math/science and another for reading/English, will share their expertise as well as nationally recognized best practices/strategies to help students achieve to their fullest potential. Between the two sessions, there will be a 30 minute break for lunch. Students should bring a bag lunch and drink as well as a graphing calculator, pencil and paper. The class is held at the Wade Edwards Learning Lab (Well) in Raleigh; registration is handled by the WELL. Cost: $150, including cost of a study guide.
